HEINEKEN España and Group La Sucursal join together in a fascinating project that includes Gastronomy, Culture and Education, three fundamental pillars for the society.
HEINEKEN Spain is one of the leading companies in the beer brewer industry in Spain. The Company has four breweries located in Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla and Jaén, its history dating to over 110 years.
Having the widest beer portfolio in Spain, the Company lets consumers enjoy its 45 varieties, of which Heineken, Cruzcampo, Amstel, Buckler 0,0 and specialties such as Desperados, Sol, Affligem, Guinnes and Paulaner.
HEINEKEN Spain has great commitment towards the hospitality sector implementing sustainability strategies in the long term in order to create value for society. An example of its implementations is the ‘Escuela de Hostelería Fundación Cruzcampo’ which has four headquarters: Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla and Jaén, and that is present in the city since 2012. It is here that the greatest catering professionals are educated resulting in a higher probability to enter the hospitality sector. For the past 15 years, 12.000 students entered the school with an opportunity to participate in more than 700 courses; more specifically, 1.200 students have received the technical degree.
HEINEKEN Spain is linked to the Valencian Community since 1941, the year in which El Águila brewery was founded in El Cabañal neighborhood and opened in 1949. Therefore, more than 73 years have been dedicated to the Valencian region.
HEINEKEN Spain is the only big beer company with a brewery in Valencia, in Quart de Poblet. It also has two commercial local offices. Together, they generate 13% of the Company´s workforce employment. This shows the strong commitment of the Company to Valencia.

Economic contribution: facilities and employment. HEINEKEN Spain creates a total of 321 direct employments due to its brewery located in Quart de Poblet and the commercial local offices. It also generates more than 11.000 indirect employments created to supply more than 26.000 hospitality’s points of sale, through 62 independent distributors. And finally, HEINEKEN Spain also creates more than 300 indirect employments in retail sector, and over 1.000 in supplying sectors.
Contribution to social life, knowledge, innovation and culture. HEINEKEN Spain, through its brand AMSTEL, is present in much of the city’s festivities such as the Valencia Fallas, Hogueras of Alicante or the festivities of the Magdalena in Castellón; in the musical events, the FIB, ARENAL SOUND, the MULAFEST or the concerts in VIVEROS; and in artistic activities such as the IVAM, the exhibition of WORLD PRESS PHOTO or the GREEN EXPERIENCE. As an innovative project, HEINEKEN develops the Cátedra HEINEKEN LabHuman in Neuromarketing together with Universitat Politècnica de València. Finally, in the sports field, through its brand AMSTEL, HEINEKEN Spain sponsors the Europa League as well as two of the major professional football clubs in the Valencian Community: Levante UD. and Elche C.F.
LA SUCURSAL GROUP represents 25 years of history in the Valencian cuisine. Loles Salvador, founder and matriarch has spent 40 years behind the stoves and has transmitted her passion for cooking, her vocation for excellence and her personalized customer service to her children. The family business, founded by Loles Salvador, manages the gourmet restaurants "La Sucursal" (one star in the Michelin Guide and two suns in the Repsol Guide), voted best restaurant in Valencia by the National Academy of Gastronomy, "Vertical"(two suns in the Repsol guide) and "Coloniales Huerta" (one sun in the Repsol guide).
Talking about La Sucursal group is talking about the family “Andrés Salvador”. Always professional, with an eye set on steady growth, they have vindicated teamwork above everything else. The gastronomic management of the group is run by the two brothers Jorge and Javier de Andrés, who continue the family tradition which their mother started.
Together they have created a brand of guarantee and quality, which today has 1 Michelin star and 4 suns in the Repsol guide amongst other awards.
In 2012 they started together with the Cruzcampo Foundation the Heineken hostelry school in Valencia. Since then, they teach their passion and for cooking and their dedication also to their students.
The cuisine is defined by the market, creative and fresh with a permanent revision of the traditional Valencian recipes using the latest techniques. In this sense the groups I&D department has signed a cooperation agreement with the Polytechnic University of Valencia for the development and improvement of vacuum cooking equipment together with the Department of Food Technology.
Currently we are hosting the catering service for the Museum of Modern Art (IVAM) with a capacity for 400 people and also until past June 2015 in L' Espai Rambleta, with a capacity for 600 people.
Amongst the recently hosted events, we include “W Nautica”, together with Valencia Boat Show, which has established itself in the last 2 editions as a meeting point of foodies, fashion, design and sailing in Veles e Vents.
An event which has been in cooperation together with El Corte Ingles and aspires to become a reference .
